The first season of eden zero was a hit on Netflix, and fans were delighted to learn that a second season of the anime has been confirmed. However, with the anime set to return to Japan in spring 2023, there is still some confusion surrounding Edens Zero’s return to Netflix. Edens Zero is a Netflix Original Japanese anime series licensed internationally by JC Staff and is the adaptation of the manga series of the same name by author Hiro Mashima. Many fans will recognize the distinctive artwork of Mashima, who is best known for creating Fairy tale.

Shortly after the final episode of season 1 aired in Japan on October 2, the anime’s official Twitter account announced the news in a tweet that «Shiki’s adventures will continue.»

Unfortunately, the news was also followed by the tragic announcement that the series Anime Director Yūshi Suzuki Passes Away. It’s unclear how Suzuki’s passing affects the production of Season 2, but we do know that more episodes are coming in the near future.
On February 8, JC Staff confirmed via the anime’s official Twitter that the second season is officially in production.

When is the eden zero Netflix season 2 release date?
The second season of the anime will return in spring 2023, where episodes of the anime will stream weekly in Japan. However, as of this writing, there is still no confirmation as to when the second season of Edens Zero will arrive on Netflix. The second season of the anime will begin airing in Japan on Saturday, April 1, 2023.
It should be noted that the first season of eden zero began streaming episodes in April 2021, and four months later, the first half of the season was released on Netflix on August 26, 2021. A few months later, the rest of the first season was added on November 24, 2021. This means there’s still plenty of time for Netflix to announce what the future of the franchise is on the streaming service. Sadly, if the second season follows suit, this means the anime will be placed in «Netflix jail», which will upset a large number of fans. When you consider that the most recent season of the Vinland Saga is the closest thing to simulcasting that has come to Netflix, there’s almost no excuse for Edens Zero not premiering on Netflix during the spring season.
So far, none of the marketing materials surrounding the second season have featured any of Netflix’s branding. Also, Netflix has yet to mention anything related to eden zerowhich was sadly omitted from the AnimeJapan 2023 event and is not part of the Netflix Spring 2023 anime lineup.
It should be noted that in France, Netflix lost the right to distribute the second season to DNA. However, there is no confirmation that Netflix has lost the rights to the anime elsewhere.

How many manga chapters will the second season of eden zero cover?
In the twenty-five episodes of the first season, approximately 68 chapters of the manga were covered.
After reading on to catch up on the story of the manga, we predict that the upcoming season will end on either chapter 133 or 138.

What can we expect to see from the second season of eden zero?
After leaving his home in the Granbell Kingdom, Shiki has already made a handful of friends through his adventures with Rebecca and Happy. Now the rightful captain and owner of the spaceship Edens Zero, in order to return the ship to its full power, Shiki has recruited the Hermit, and after Valkyrie’s demise, Homura has taken the position of his former master on the ship. .

How many more seasons can we expect from eden zero?
At the time of writing, there are currently 171 published manga chapters, which is slightly less than the 60+ chapters we expect each season. However, the manga is still ongoing and by the time the second season ends, there will be dozens more chapters published. This means that, at the very least, we would expect to see at least a third and fourth season of eden zero.
