Ten years ago, «The Great Crumble» wreaked havoc on the world, leading to the mysterious appearance of hybrid babies born part-human, part-animal. After a decade of living safely in his isolated home in the woods, a sheltered deer-hybrid boy named Gus befriends a lonely drifter named Jepperd. Together they embark on an extraordinary adventure across what’s left of the United States in search of answers about Gus’s origins, Jepperd’s past, and the true meaning of home.
