Viva Air passengers who still have difficulties in their itineraries will continue to be assisted by Avianca to reach their destinations, for which the airline supposed yesterday to extend its aid plan for six more days, which initially ran until this Monday.

In a communication issued yesterday Sunday, Avianca informed the market that it «reiterates its willingness to relocate (Viva passengers) voluntarily and at no cost, extending the protection date for travelers with tickets issued until March 12.»
He also recalled that between February 27, when Avianca was forced to suspend its flights, leaving thousands of travelers stranded in the country’s airports, Argentina and PeruTo date, it has protected more than 22,100 Viva customers, of which 19,300 have been on domestic routes and 2,800 on international routes.

However, «Avianca works with the authority and the Government to define actions for customers who have tickets with Viva after March 12,» company directives indicated.
They also explained that to make the protection offered effective, passengers who will have confirmed tickets or reservations issued by Viva to fly between February 27 and March 12 must go directly to the airports. «Passengers should come to request re-accommodation the day they scheduled their flight or a maximum of two days before it, to decongest airports and give priority to customers with close flight dates,» they insisted.
For his part, since Latin America They indicated that since February 27 the airline has relocated a total of 3,945 passengers, 3,167 on domestic routes and 798 on international flights.
