Halter lifted a ball to left field, where Chick made a dunk play and somehow ended up with the ball in his glove.
While the Tigers experienced some good fortune in the third inning, luck was not on their side throughout the game, losing to No. 4 Florida 11-1 on run rule in seven innings.
Florida starter Brandon Sproat pitched seven innings, allowing just one run and two hits.

«I think it may have been one of the most complete games we’ve played all year,» Florida head coach Kevin O’Sullivan said, according to the Gators’ website. «I said at the end of the game, when Brandon can make seven instead of six, even though it’s only three more outs and one more inning, and when Hurston [Waldrep] he can do that, that really helps our bullpen. That really shortens the game. I thought he was hitting his breaking ball as well as he had all year for strikes. His change was really good. He was very good tonight.»

The Gators jumped on the Tigers in the second inning, scoring six runs and two home runs in the bottom half.

«Obviously, offensively, Tyler’s three-run home run [Shelnut] in the second and from jack [Caglianone] Three-run home run to build a six-nil lead was important to us, and we didn’t make any mistakes either,» O’Sullivan said. «We did it. I know they’re satisfied with games that are under two hours, but it was a complete game for us.»
Florida and Missouri continued their three-game series on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. ET.
