Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green was ejected from Monday night’s Game 2 against the Sacramento Kings after he appeared to stomp on Domantas Sabonis’s chest in the fourth quarter.

Sabonis was trying to find the offensive rebound on a missed shot when it hit the ground near Green’s feet. Sabonis appeared to grab Green’s right leg as the striker tried to climb up the pitch. Green tried to break free as he walked over to Sabonis.

Green then looked down to see what Sabonis was doing. As Green collected himself, he used his right foot to step on Sabonis’s chest. The Kings player writhed in pain as the referees tried to break up the scrum, Sabonis writing in pain.

Green returned to the bench while officials reviewed the play. He was later seen chatting with Kings fans with at least one man giving Green the double birds.

The officials gave Green a flagrant foul II, which meant he would be ejected from the game. Sabonis was charged with a Flagrante I foul. Sabonis said he had no animosity towards Green after the game.

Green had eight points, five assists and four rebounds in 31 minutes. It’s unclear if further discipline will be evaluated for either player as the series progresses.

Sacramento would win the game 114-106 and go up 2-0 in the first round series.
