An 18-year-old remains missing after jumping into what are believed to be «shark infested» waters off the Bahamas.

Cameron Robbins was celebrating his graduation from Baton Rouge University School of Laboratory with several hundred students on a cruise ship when he dared to jump into the water.

UFC superstar Israel Adesanya caught wind of the news and didn’t exactly have a grim response.

«It’s an age of professional jokes. #Darwinism,» Adesanya tweeted in response to the report that Robbins was accepting a challenge.

Adesanya was criticized by several Twitter users for his unsympathetic tweet.

«Keep in mind his bereaved family, friend.» a user tweeted.

«Mal look and take my boy. He has a family and yours taught you best. Especially being from Nija, I know they did.» said another.

However, when the wrestler saw the news that the teen had jumped into «shark infested» waters, he changed his mind.

«Damn… I hope they find it. But it’s still a s—- really sad,» he said in a low tone of voice. a separate tweet.

Robbins was a standout baseball player who attended the school for over a decade and left a lasting impression on his peers and teachers.

The Coast Guard said in a statement when it called off the search: «We offer our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Cameron Robbins.»

The school has held multiple prayer vigils in recent days and said it is making counselors available to students and teachers.
