Following his recent announcement to retire from football, Tom Brady said that he planned to jump into the broadcast booth in 2024.
During an appearance on «The Herd» earlier this week, the seven-time Super Bowl winner said he has no solid plans between now and next year.
«I think, for me, I want to be great at what I do. And even speaking last week with the folks at Fox Sports and the leadership there, allowing me to start my Fox opportunity in the fall of 2024 is a great thing for me.» Brady said Monday.

The lack of a clear schedule for the coming months has led some to wonder if Brady would be willing to play football between now and 2024.
But Brady has previously said his second retirement is «forever.» He reiterated similar sentiments Monday, saying retirement felt good this time.
«I think, for me, I know in my heart how I feel. I put him on the field for 23 years and I’m very proud of what’s been accomplished. You know, I just wanted to make last week really short.» and sweet, and I felt like I’ve given a lot, I’ve gained a lot,» Brady said, via the Tampa Bay Times.

Brady added that he is excited about what the future holds after dedicating more than three decades of his life to soccer.
«I’ve learned a lot. And life is about, you know, exciting things ahead. I think when something closes, like football has done for me, you know 32 years of my life, and it’s hard to make decisions like that. But the time is definitely right.»
The future Pro Football Hall of Famer said he wants to take his time learning the ins and outs of broadcasting so he has the best chance of success.
«I want to be great at what I do, and that always takes some time, strategizing, learning, growing and evolving. I also have a lot of people to rely on and lean on in that world. It’s going to be a great opportunity for me to take a time [to prepare] for my Fox broadcast job, but also to catch up with other parts of my life that need some time and energy.»
In May 2022, Brady agreed to join Fox Sports as a lead analyst after he stopped playing in the NFL.
Fox Corporation CEO and CEO Lachlan Murdoch announced the news last year.
«We are delighted that Tom has made the commitment to join the Fox team and we wish him all the best this upcoming season,» Murdoch said in May shortly after the announcement.
Brady is expected to call games along with current lead play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt.
