The Cincinnati Reds are having a brutal run and it doesn’t seem like the All-Star break has done them any favors.

Cincinnati entered the break as one of the best teams in baseball. The Reds were 6-3 and defending the top of the National League Central as the season drew to a close. On Friday, when the season picked up, the Reds were shut out again. Shockingly, Milwaukee defeated Cincinnati 1-0 on July 9 and then again on Friday night. Saturday was more of the same, as the Reds lost for the third straight time and fourth of their last five, 3-0.

The Reds only had seven hits over the course of their three-game scoreless streak.

ESPN Stats & Info released an interesting stat about his cold snap.

«The Reds are the first team in at least 130 years with 0 runs and fewer than 8 hits in a 3-game span,» the stats account wrote on Twitter.

Reds manager David Bell has spoken about the team’s woes after Saturday’s loss.

«There is no doubt that we will pull through,» he said, via MLB.com. «You really have to see what we’ve been up against the last two nights as well. These guys, they’re executing their shots, there’s no question about it. So keep working on it, keep competing, keep fighting and we know we’ll break through.»
