Thus, the IJC will soon announce the Manel Esteller award, which will have a biennial periodicity. Among the conditions to be eligible for the scholarship, candidates will have to have a master’s degree or be enrolled in the 2021-22 academic year in an official university master’s degree that gives access to a doctoral program, in order to have passed a minimum of 300 ECTS credits at the time of acceptance of the scholarship.

The award has been officially presented at the Teaching Campus of Sant Joan de Déu de Sant Boi Health Park this Friday in an act chaired by the Minister of Science and Innovation, diana morant, who has celebrated that this award goes ahead and helps to «awaken the scientific and innovative vocations in our country. Dr. Esteller is a world-renowned doctor and researcher for his fight against cancer, he is currently director of the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute (IJC) and Professor of Genetics at the University of Barcelona (UB).
