In the NHL, more history was made as Buffalo Sabers goalie Craig Anderson he became the oldest goaltender to record 50 or more saves in a single game.

The 41-year-old goaltender made 53 saves against his former team as the Sabers defeated the Florida Panthers, 3-1.
Anderson made 26 saves in the third quarter as Buffalo moved to the second place wild card in the Eastern Conference.

«It’s special, for sure. Age is just a number,» Anderson said, via The Buffalo News. «Right now. It’s just about managing the rest and managing your time, so you can have the moments in the game like this.»
«The mind just went off and you started worrying about the next shot,» Anderson said. «And whatever the shot clock has come to, it has come. That’s the best game I’ve played in a long time and so good mentally as far as being sharp and being in the moment.»

anderson played for the panthers from 2006 to 2009.
