Professional football Hall of Famer Ray Lewis, who excelled in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens and in college with the Miami Hurricanes, suffered immeasurable tragedy Thursday night with the death of his son.
Ray Lewis III has died at the age of 28, his younger brother Rahsaan Lewis announced in a post on his Instagram Stories.

«I really can’t believe I’m writing this but RIP big bro,» he wrote. «A true angel. I pray you’re at peace now because (I know) how much you were (really) hurt. I don’t have and never will have the words, man, because this pain right there… I love you, I love you. I love you.
«Your niece missed you, but she will hear about you again and again, just take care of us all brother, be our guardian. I promise I will make you smile and proud.»
The cause of death was not announced.

Ray Lewis III was a standout high school football player in Florida and played for Miami, Coastal Carolina and the Virginia Union.
«Great young man and best teammate. The entire Virginia Union University community is praying for the family as they deal with the loss of Ray,» Virginia Union associate head coach Diego Ryland told TMZ Sports.
Diaymon Lewis also paid tribute to his late brother on social media.
«Brownie, I love [you] with all my heart,» he wrote on his Instagram Stories. “You will always be my first love and you truly are the definition of a quintessential brother. To the most genuine and talented person I know, go to rest baby and I’m glad you’re at peace.
