This summer the third and final season of the Norwegian coming-of-age superhero series will conclude. ragnarok, that will retire after three years on our screens. This is what you need to know.

First debuting on the service in January 2020, Ragnarok has become one of the biggest series ever to come out of the Nordic countries for Netflix. It was quickly renewed for a second season, debuting in May 2021.

The show received a third season renewal in November 2021.

SAM Productions is behind the show for Netflix, which has produced many of the best shows for the streamer, including borgin, The nurseand the brown man.

ragnarokwhile it has a worldwide audience, it has mostly only been a hit in its home region, and the show spent 35 days in the top 10 on Netflix Norway according to Flix Patrol. Other top-performing countries for the series include Finland, Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Turkey.

Filming for the third and final season occurred throughout the Spring and summer of 2022, with MoviesR Reports that production had been completed by early August.

We still don’t have an official plot synopsis for season 3 of ragnarok, but as the name of the show might suggest, war and death await us. Magne’s fight against Jutul Industries will no doubt come to a dramatic conclusion, and we’ll have to see who Laurits sides with.


When is the release date for ragnarok Season 3?

The cast announced the release date of Ragnarok season 3 on Netflix’s Nordic account on June 15.

All six episodes of Ragnarok Season 3 arrive on Netflix globally on August 24, 2023.

Danu Sunth teases the final season: “This season is all about being in the spotlight. Lights. Camera. Action. Everyone will know Iman’s name.»

Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, who plays Saxa, teases that she can «reveal so many secrets», adding that «she’s back and better than ever, and there might be a new man in her life.»

Herman Tømmeraas jokes: “Now that Vidar is gone, Fjor is the dad. But corporate life has nothing on him, but now he has a new hobby.» Tømmeraas previously teased DigitalSpy that season 3 will see things go to the «next level», adding that he pleaded to be «brutal, dark, troubled and sinister».
