Whether you’re a professional or an amateur, golf can be a frustrating and unforgiving sport.

PGA Tour pro Nick Watney can tell you all about that after his terrible performance on the 17th green at TPC Sawgrass on Thursday.

During the first round of the Players Championship, Watney teeed off the 17th hole, a par 3 that features an island-like green that’s not too far out but still tricky for all levels of play.

Watney, 41, missed the club when he hit his tee shot from 125 yards past the forward pin and found the water. He was the 13th player to do it in the first round, but that wasn’t even the worst.
