Expanding its roster of comedy series, Netflix is collaborating with Blackish creator Kenya Barris and rapper Vince Staples in the production of a new scripted comedy series based on the life of Staples.
The new series, called The Vince Staples Showwill be directed by calmingwhose credits include party in the House and music videos for artists like Lil Nas X, Pharell Williams, Jay-Z, and more. The series is written by ian edelmann Y mauritius williams, who also act as showrunners. They both previously worked with Kenya Barris on Netflix and Kid Cudi. entergalactic.
Vince Staples himself is starring and producing. He commented:
“I am excited to partner with Netflix and Kenya Barris on The Vince Staples Show. This has been something I’ve been developing for some time, and I’m happy it’s coming to fruition.»
