Expanding its slate of thriller series, Netflix ordered a new political drama/thriller called The madness. It is scheduled to be produced by Peter Chernin of The Chernin Group, the company behind Netflix. fear street trilogy, by Idris Elba lutherand Jason Momoa, starring Dreamland.

Stephen Belber and boyd both serve as co-showrunners on the new series and executive producers.

Also in the director’s chair for The madness are Quyen Tran and jessica lowreydirecting episodes 3 to 6.
Peter Chernin, the production company for Chernin Entertainment, and Clement Virgo will produce The madness. Jenno Topping and Kaitlin Dahill also serve as executive producers.
Chernin Entertainment entered into a multi-year first look deal with Netflix in April 2020 and has produced nearly half a dozen projects released thus far with many more on the way.
When the project was officially announced on February 8, Netflix’s Peter Friedlander said:
“The Madness is a fresh take on the conspiracy thriller: it turns the genre on its head with its multi-layered characters, propulsive action and fast pace. We are proud to have such a powerful team assembled to bring this dynamic story to life for Netflix viewers around the world and continue to produce great entertainment with the Chernin team.”

“In THE MADNESS, media pundit MUNCIE DANIELS (Domingo) must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles across a murder deep in the Poconos woods. As the walls close in, Muncie struggles to reconnect with her estranged family and her lost ideals in order to survive.”

As of February 2023, a major cast member of The madness has been revealed, fill sunday.
Domingo is a rising star, having appeared in Zola and Fear of the living dead. He has also worked with Netflix on Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and the upcoming movie release 2023 rustin.
