In a very heated and competitive bidding war, Netflix secured the rights to its upcoming big-budget spy-action-thriller, Heart of stone, which will star Gal Gadot. Filming took place throughout 2022 and it will premiere on Netflix in 2023.
The film is developed by the production company Skydance Media, which is also behind projects as important as Mission: Impossible: Fallout, The Old Guard, Annihilation, Top Gun: Maverick, and many more. Like Mission ImpossibleNetflix hopes that Heart of stone will start a new female-focused spy franchise.

The script for Heart of stone is written by greg rucka (the old guard) Y allison schroederthe latter of which was Oscar-nominated for hidden figures.

Skydance Media’s David Ellison will produce the film with Dana Goldberg, Bonnie Curtis, Julie Lynn, Jaron Varsano and Don Granger, along with Gadot and his Pilot Wave producing partner Jaron Varsano, Bonnie Curtis and Julie Lynn.
What is the Netflix release date? Heart of stone?
At Netflix’s TUDUM event in 2022, it was revealed during the first look trailer that Heart of stone it would arrive sometime in 2023. We got an official first look at the new movie along with that announcement.
Then, in January 2023, it was officially announced that the film would be Coming to Netflix Globally on August 11, 2023.

What is the plot of Heart of stone?
Unfortunately, for a long time, not much was known about the actual plot of Heart of stone for the moment, with the exception of the general direction of a version directed by women of Mission Impossible or the 007 franchise.
However, now we have a slightly more developed plot courtesy of Netflix:

In September 2021, gal gadot was announced to head the cast of Heart of stone for netflix. She will play the role of Rachel Stone.
Six other actors have been announced since Gal Gadot, which includes 50 shades of gray actor jamie dornan and the rising star of army of the dead Matthias Schweighöfer.
They also join the cast Sofia Okonedo (Rwanda Hotel), Alia Bhatt (Highway), jing lusi (Crazy Rich Asians), and ready paul (The horror).

As of March 7, 2022, filming began at Shepperton Studios in the UK. This was confirmed by actress Gal Gadot, who shared images of the first day on set on Twitter.
