Netflix ‘Carry-On’ Movie Taron Egerton: What We Know So Far

Continue, produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment and starring Kingsman’s Taron Egerton, is one of Netflix’s most anticipated upcoming movies. Here is everything we know about Continue until now.

The film will be directed by Jaume Collet-Serrawho directed projects like The Shallows, Unknown, Jungle Cruise and black adamboth starring Dwayne Johnson.

T.J. Fixman wrote the first draft of the script, with Michael Green doing the most recent polishing. Fixman is also currently connected to Netflix After midnight.

First announced in July 2022, Continue is one of the pipeline projects produced by Amblin Partners as part of its overall deal with Netflix. Amblin Partners is led by Steven Spielberg and the deal closed in June 2021.

Holly Bario, Amblin’s president of production, will oversee the project on behalf of the studio.

Brian Williams will executive produce via Dylan Clark Productions, as well as Scott Greenberg and Seth William Meier.

Egerton’s most recent projects include the king Rocket Man, and black bird. Deadline’s sources say he was the only actor who read and knew about the project; he and Collet-Serra hit it off instantly and a deal was quickly signed.

Since Egerton’s casting, Netflix has announced two additional casting rounds, with one batch due on September 26 and the other on October 17, 2022.

What is the production status of Continue?

from netflix Continue it was initially scheduled to begin filming in the US on September 26, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana and Cleveland, Ohio. Production is tentatively set to conclude on December 16, 2022, according to Production Weekly Issue 1309.

However, it wasn’t until October 18 that posts began to appear on social media indicating that production had begun. Taron Egerton posted on october 18«First day of school!»

Writer, TJ Fixman, provided an update via Instagram on November 16, 2022 saying:

“Today I spoke to a character I made up, stood at the gate of an airline I made up, and witnessed a crime I planned in my head almost ten years ago. Today I walked through my imagination, and it was great.»

Production continued throughout the New Year, with Gentilly Messenger reporting that filming occurred in New Orleans in early January 2023.

What is the Netflix release date? Continue?

Netflix has not announced any dates for Continue so far, but the movie got a thumbs up when Netflix unveiled its upcoming slate of action movies and series in May 2023.

We expect a late 2023 release or, more likely, a release sometime in 2024.
