Most viewed series and movies on Netflix (hours viewed)

Netflix has had some pretty big hits over the years, but measuring its biggest hits has always been a struggle for watchers. Through the end of 2021, we got the number of accounts that started a show or movie, but have since switched to hours watched. Using those hours watched, here’s a look at the biggest hits Netflix has released.

If you want to look back at those old viewership numbers (number of accounts that watch at least 2 minutes of any title) that Netflix released, our guide is still available now, and some of the titles that featured on the top charts are still showing up. on Netflix’s top charts to this day.

Since mid-2021, Netflix has now transitioned to hours-watched data. Every Tuesday, they give us stats on 40 titles in four separate categories, and when a title breaks into the top 10 all-time, they provide an up-to-date guide for them.

“…we provide a list of the 10 most popular Netflix movies and TV shows overall (branded as Netflix in any country) in each of the four categories based on the hours each title was viewed in the first 28 days. Since some titles have multiple release dates, either weekly or in parts, we count 28 days from the release date of each episode in each country.»

Below, we’ve rounded up a full list of every title that’s been in the top 10 since mid-2021, giving us a complete list of 28-day hourly stats Netflix has released, and we’ve broken them down into each category. . .
