cameras have followed LeBron James around for most of his life.

Since his high school basketball days in Akron, Ohio, James has been in the spotlight, winning four NBA championships and four MVP awards in 20 seasons in the league.

On Thursday night in Los Angeles, James made sure a camera still had a chance to keep him in the lens for years to come.

During the last quarter against the warriors of the golden stateJames tried to prevent the ball from going out of bounds and ran into a cameraman on the touchline.

When the camera fell to the ground, James’ fast hands he saved the day, nabbing the expensive item before any damage could be done.

James’ save came as the Lakers led the Warriors by 20 points in their first game since the star restbeating Golden State 124-111.

Eight Lakers finished the night in double figures on a night that saw James struggle from the ground.

James scored just 13 points on 5-20 from the field, but Malik Beasley scored 25 points, knocking down seven 3-pointers on the night.

«LeBron and AD didn’t get going as much as they wanted tonight, but we’re deep and I think that’s the statement we want to make,» Beasley said. «It can be any player on a given night.»

The Lakers made 53.3% of their shots from three-point range, as both James and Anthony Davis were able to play less than 30 minutes.

«Just a great overall team win. Everyone chipped in, everyone had different moments and guys stayed aggressive,» Lakers coach Darvin Ham said. «I feel really good about what we’ve been able to do (since the trade deadline). It’s paying dividends right now and we just have to keep getting more and more familiar.»
