Lost Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake met with officials from the National Republican Senatorial Committee on Thursday, two people familiar with the matter told POLITICO.

The meeting comes as Lake is considering a run for the Senate in Arizona. Caroline Wren, Lake’s senior adviser, confirmed the meeting, saying it lasted about an hour and that the topics discussed included the differences between running a Senate and a gubernatorial campaign.

Asked if the meeting brought Lake any closer to making a decision on a Senate run, Wren said: “I don’t think so. I think it was more listening.»
