A men’s basketball player from northern Illinois made a nifty move in the second half of their win over central Michigan on Tuesday night.
Kaleb Thornton scored two of his 16 points with a shoe. Thornton went for a layup with less than 2 minutes to go and thought he was fouled when he fell to the ground. He was looking for a foul because a shoe was off his foot.

Northern Illinois would force a turnover just as Chippe was crossing half court. Thornton would be by the basket with his shoe in one hand. He caught a left-handed pass and made the layup to give the Huskies a 71-54 lead with 1:37 left in the game.
Thornton was 5-for-9 from the field, including 2-for-3 from three-point range.
