The Florida baseball player has the perfect response to the pitcher’s ejection in the home run celebration

Florida sophomore Jac Caglianone he hit two home runs in Sunday’s win over Georgia on Sunday, but it was his protest over pitcher Brandon Neely’s ejection that went viral on social media.

In the top of the eighth with the Gators up 6-4 and the bases loaded, Neely struck out Parks Harber, Georgia first baseman, ending the Bulldogs’ chance to take the lead or potentially tie the game.

In a moment of celebration, Neely yelled and flexed as he walked to the dugout.

But immediately afterward, the sophomore pitcher was ejected from the game.

The call was met with boos from the more than 6,000 fans in attendance at Condron Family Ballpark, but the biggest protest came from teammate Jac Caglianone.

In the bottom of the eight and with the bases loaded, Caglianone hit his second home run, an opposite-field bomb to left field.

But as he rounded the bases, Caglianone calmly crossed the plate with little to no emotion.

«Cags was special today,» head coach Kevin O’Sullivan said, via the team’s website. «On the mound he gave us five really good innings, and offensively with two home runs and seven RBIs.»

The Gators won the series with an 11-6 win over Georgia. Caglianone also became the 20th player to program history hit 20 home runs in a single season.
