Police have released findings from the Delaware car accident that killed Ring of Honor wrestler Jamin Pugh, better known by his stage name Jay Briscoe.

Briscoe was one of two people who perished in the accident (the fighter had his 12) and nine-year-old daughters with him.

The two vehicles were Chevrolet Silverado pickup trucks, and the other driver crossed the center lane, resulting in a head-on collision shortly after 5 pm ET.

Of the four people in each of the cars, the wrestler was the only one not wearing a seatbelt: his two daughters were sent to a local hospital by ambulance where they remain in critical condition.

The role of alcohol in the accident is unknown. police added.

Briscoe joined ROH in 2002 and was one half of the promotion’s World Tag Team Champion along with his brother Mark Briscoe (real name Mark Pugh). It was the brothers’ 13th reign as tag team champions.

He was also a two-time ROH solo champion and a six-man tag team champion.

Many professional wrestlers and industry people sent their condolences on social media.

Although it never appeared in the wwehis professional wrestling prowess was felt by fans, who worked with him and those who watched from afar.

Pro Wrestling Illustrated ranked Briscoe seventh on their 500 Greatest Wrestlers of 2015 and he was inducted into the ROH Hall of Fame last year.
