The Buffalo Bills and cornerback Kaiir Elam provided updates on safety Damar Hamlin Thursday morning.

Elam tweeted that the sophomore pro is «awake and showing more signs of improvement.»

«Our boy is better, awake and showing more signs of improvement,» Elam posted on Twitter. «Thank you God. Keep coming prayers please. All love 3!»

Hamlin has been in critical condition since Monday night when he went into cardiac arrest following a hit on Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.

Hamlin fell to the grass after the tackle and was administered CPR before an ambulance took him to hospital.

The Bills also provided an update Thursday, saying Hamlin has shown «remarkable improvement» and is «neurologically intact.»
