Vibes were high in Kansas City Wednesday as the Chiefs brought their second Vince Lombardi Trophy to a championship parade in the past four years.
The Super Bowl LVII champions rode the parade bus, interacting with their fans and celebrating their 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Once they reached their destination, speeches were given and Patrick Mahomes, the Super Bowl MVP, had a few things to say to those who doubted the Chiefs.

A bit of context: Once Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins, per his request, some believed the Chiefs would back down without Mahomes’ favorite target in the mix. That was clearly not the case.
«Before we started this season, the AFC West said we were rebuilding,» he told a raucous crowd. «I’ll be honest with you, I don’t know what rebuild means. In our rebuild year, we are world champions.»
JASON, TRAVIS KELCE GET EXCITED TALKING ABOUT REUNING MOTHER AFTER SUPER BOWL
«This is just the beginning.»
Then it was Travis Kelce’s turn to take the microphone. He is a hype man by nature, so he started off nice and slow before engaging the crowd.
«Let me take you back to 2022, maybe in the month of April,» Kelce said. «Guys were being signed left and right. The haters were saying the Chiefs were never going to make the playoffs. The haters were saying the Chiefs were done.»
JACK RUDD, SON OF HOLLYWOOD STAR AND SUPER FAN OF CHIEFS PAUL RUDD, THANKS PATRICK MAHOMES ‘FOR EXISTING’
Kelce began asking the crowd to cheer if they thought the Chiefs would have the best offense in the league, win the division, and eventually win the Super Bowl. Of course they agreed.
In the end, the Chiefs finished with the best offense of the regular season despite the loss of Hill. Mahomes leaned more on Kelce as he used the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, who signed a one-year deal, Jerick McKinnon off the field and more. The Kadarius Toney trade to the New York Giants also worked, as he had a crucial touchdown and punt return in the Super Bowl.

Mahomes and Kelce make a great connection, and as the former said, it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down anytime soon, no matter what trades are made. With head coach Andy Reid in place, the Chiefs are on the verge of creating a dynasty, if they haven’t already.
