Charles Barkley turned 60 last month and on Sunday got a little reality check about the years he has left to live and what he likes to do outside the broadcast booth.
Barkley appeared on «60 Minutes» and gushed about being a grandfather. His daughter Christiana just had a child, and Barkley called it «the best thing that’s ever happened to me.»
While he opened up about his newfound love of being a grandfather, he said on the CBS show that he understands he’s in the «last nine» of his life.

Barkley added that he hoped his grandson would eventually look into it when he’s a little older.
«I hope you do a little research on me,» he said. «I’ll be gone a long time, but I’d like him to know that I’ve accomplished a few things in my life.»

And then we’ll start playing and I’ll sit in the stands, and I’m like, ‘Oh , man. She’s not aggressive at all.’
«So I asked him one day, I said, ‘You don’t like basketball, do you?’ She’s like, ‘Oh, dad, I hate basketball.’ And I’m like, ‘Oh, okay.’ And it took me a little while to get over that. …»
