Of course, Burrow wasn’t the one who was named MVP last season. It was Mahomes after he passed for 5,250 yards with 41 touchdowns on 12 interceptions and a 67.1% completion rate.
But Chase decided to throw some shade at Mahomes after someone said «Pat» when he was trying to combat his Burrow comment.

This comes after Burrow said that Mahomes is the best quarterback in the league: «I don’t think there’s a discussion.»
However, Chase doesn’t care, as he has his quarterback above the rest, which shows how much he believes in his potential.
It’s no secret that the Bengals and Chiefs have a rivalry in the making after meeting in the AFC Championship Game the past two seasons.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs own two Lombardi trophies since 2019. So while Chase thinks Burrow is the league MVP right now, Mahomes has the hardware to prove it.
