Traded to the Jets after spending his first 18 seasons with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers has soaked up everything the tri-state area has to offer.
After his trade from the Packers was made official, Rodgers attended the New York Rangers and Knicks playoff games at Madison Square Garden on back-to-back days with his teammates.
He attended a Rangers game with Allen Lazard, who also became a Jet, and joined the Knicks game with first-team All-Pro rookie cornerback Ahmad «Sauce» Gardner.
«I’m having a great time. I’m having a great time. It’s been a lot of fun,» Rodgers said last month of his early days as a New Yorker.
«Everything is new. It’s like the first day of school every day,» Rodgers said. «There are new people to meet. I have to figure out your routine and where the laundry loops go. And the mail. And the cleats. And the weight room shoes. Everything is new and exciting and fun. I just pinch myself many days … sometimes I can’t believe it’s real. So, it’s been a dream to be here.»
