Archaeologists in the UK will need at an excavation what they will ensure is a Roman-era wooden toilet seat.

The object is 2000 years old, according to specialists.

Stone and marble latrines were already known from the times of the Roman Empire, but experts believe that this is the only example of such a wooden object that has been discovered so far.
